Tiny Reminders—pangrams for the creative community to stay home and stay safe during the pandemic.
At one point or another, most creative professionals have seen the line “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog”. This pangram, where every letter of the Latin alphabet is used, is commonplace for graphic designers looking to test which typeface to choose in their next branding or ad campaign. Now, pangrams are taking on a new meaning! Comms agency ANR BBDO teamed up with Monotype to create “Tiny Reminders” for the creative community to stay home and stay safe during the pandemic of COVID-19.
Beyond the fox and the dog, the new pangrams range from “Stay home. Pack a box with five dozen liquor jugs” to “Stay home. Like a vexingly daft zebra named Chuq who can’t jump.”
ANR and Monotype currently encourage creatives to use these pangrams along with the tag #StayHome as placeholder text while designing until they’re deemed able to return to “normal” activity. Furthermore, they hope to inspire designers and creatives looking to add more purpose to their process. Free fonts are available to those looking to participate.
