The Queulat font family from Latinotype, a slab serif with lots of alternates.
The folks of foundry Latinotype call it a “hybrid” due to the combination of its charming appearance and a strong personality. Queulat was designed in 2016 by Jorge Cisterna. The full family consists of 25 fonts ranging from Thin to Black including matching Italics plus a full set of alternate letters and a Unicase version. This slab serif draws some inspiration from modern grotesk typefaces. Such characteristic features like teardrop terminals mixed with sturdy slab serifs give the typeface a friendly and elegant look. The Queulat font family is well suited for the use in logotypes as well as all kinds of brand and packaging or even web design. Its strong personality works great in headlines and subheadings. The unique mix of styles can be seen by comparing the basic character set with the alternative versions. All basic characters provide a more minimalist type design than the alternate styles. Queulat’s Unicase version is equipped with a higher number of shapes, which results in a vivid display style. For additional information on this family, feel free and follow the link below.
