Galano Classic, the display companion of the Galano Grotesque font family by Rene Bieder.
Just like its companion, also Rene Bieder’s Galano Classic font family pays tribute to the geometric shapes of sans serif fonts such as Futura, Avant Garde, Avenir, etc. This display typeface is characterized by a moderate x-height and several details like the long leg of uppercase “R” as well as the lowercase “g”, which is shaped in a traditional design.
Compared to Galano Grotesque, Galano Classic provides lots of redesigned glyphs and new adjusted kerning pairs. In addition, the family is equipped with an extended number of alternative characters, ligatures and numerous OpenType features. Galano Classic is packed with 10 weights plus matching italics. Galano Classic was designed for display use, but its legible typeface can also be used for long and small texts.
