FF Meta, a sans serif font family created by German type designer Erik Spiekermann of FontFont.

The complete FF Meta font family was designed between 1991 and 2010 by Erik Spiekermann, an internationally renowned graphic designer, typographer, type designer, and co-founder of foundry FontFont. The complete font family consists of 28 weights, ranging from Hairline to Black including Condensed and Normal as well as Italic versions for each weight. Erik Spiekermann wanted to create a typeface suitable for a variety of applications such as advertising, packaging, books, editorial and publishing, logo design, branding projects, small and long texts as well as web and screen design.

The family is equipped with professional OpenType features such as ligatures, alternate characters, case-sensitive forms, small capitals, fractions, super- and subscript characters, and many more. Besides all common Latin-based languages, the family also supports Cyrillic, Greek, and Hebrew characters.

In 2011, the FF Meta typeface was added to the MoMA Architecture and Design Collection in New York. This typeface belongs to the FF Meta super family, which also includes FF Meta Correspondence, FF Meta Headline, and FF Meta Serif. The family is available as both Webfont as well as Desktop font.
